With a practice that weaves together formal sculptural tendencies and off-the-cuff research into intellectual history, Nadim Abbas is largely concerned with the psychological patterns of the generic, kitsch, and cliché. Much of his work consists of recognizable components, while the uncanny work or arrangement serves to destabilize the spaces he creates. Abbas currently teaches at the City University Hong Kong School of Creative Media and the Hong Kong Art School/ RMIT University.
